C.S. Lewis and the Arts: Writing
Posted in Uncategorized on Mar 29th, 2008 No Comments »
From an early age, Will Vaus was fascinated with the writing and thought of C. S. Lewis. So much so, that when he became an adult, he turned this passion into his vocation. Will moved his family to Ireland for a time to live in community with Lewis’ step-son, Doug Gresham, during the making of the movie, The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe. It was the Greenhouse Community’s privilege to welcome Will Vaus, actor, pastor and author of Mere Theology: A Guide to the Thought of C.S. Lewis published by Intervarsity Press, via our Greenhouse Arts Teleconference. Will spoke to us on ‘C.S. Lewis and the Arts’. In this excerpt we hear C.S. Lewis’ thoughts on writing. From that vantage point, Will exhorts artists of all media to produce art that is True, while being latent with our deep seated belief in and love for Jesus. You can find the works of C.S. Lewis and of Will Vaus on amazon.com.
